General Overview
The Membership and Meetings Manager reports directly to the Membership Director and is responsible for planning and executing FPF’s membership meetings, including snap calls, peer-to-peer meetings, and roundtables. The Membership and Meetings Manager actively works with the Membership team and other departments to execute engaging meetings (virtual and in-person) for our members.
The ideal candidate has membership and meeting experience and is committed to providing outstanding service to our members by organizing meetings that are of the highest quality. This role requires partnership with multiple internal and external stakeholders and the ability to juggle planning for several events at the same time.
Most meetings take place in the United States, but this position may provide support to member events organized by FPF’s global offices.
This is a full-time position based in the Washington, DC office. FPF maintains a hybrid work environment where staff are currently only required to work one day per week in the office. Our typical work hours are 9 am-6 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. Work hours may occasionally need to be adjusted to meet with global offices. Periodic travel required.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the membership team and other departments to create and execute a meeting calendar that is curated for FPF’s Membership.
- Manage logistics, planning, and execution for membership meetings, including:
- Collaborate with the team to identify discussion topics and create agendas
- Design meeting invitations, build and manage invitation lists, track and report on RSVPs, and manage communications with attendees
- Coordinates attendance details with hosts and facilitators
- Manage and liaise with vendors assisting us with the meeting (caterers, restaurants, co-hosts, etc.)
- Respond to inquiries and feedback from meeting participants
- Create a run of show for meetings; brief and train staff in requirements and participatory responsibilities as needed
- Manage and ensure the adequacy of on-site services before and during the meeting
- Manage tracking and database updates for meeting attendees
- Builds and develops relationships with members
- Work with all stakeholders in a pleasant and professional manner to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved in FPF’s meetings
- Assists with other membership department projects and tasks as needed
- Provides support to the events department for planning the Annual FPF Advisory Board Meeting and other FPF events
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years of experience in membership and meeting planning
- Experience using Salesforce, Higher Logic, Eventbrite, and Zoom highly desired
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective at multitasking and an ability to work on overlapping assignments
- Superb time management skills
- Problem-solver capable of proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Calm under pressure, with an ability to adapt as needed
Salary Range: $70,000.00 To 80,000.00 Annually
