japan privacy symposium (9)

Please join the Future of Privacy Forum, in cooperation with the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan (PPC) and the Japan DPO Association, for the second annual Japan Privacy Symposium, on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA) Forum, presented with the support of S&K Brussels.

Building off the success of the first edition, the Symposium offers a unique forum for regulators and the Japanese data protection and privacy community to exchange ideas, share insights on the current state of global data protection and privacy regulation, and strategize for the future. To support more in-depth and candid discussions, attendance to this year’s Symposium will be invitation only.

The event will feature a keynote speech by Commissioner OHSHIMA Shuhei, PPC, focusing on emerging trends in data protection and privacy. In the panel discussion, Regulatory Priorities of Data Protection and Privacy Authorities for 2025 and Beyond, we hope to discuss pivotal subjects in global data protection with leading regulators on the world stage, covering topics such as AI, global data flows, and key enforcement trends.

The event is set to take place at The Ritz-Carlton in Tokyo, Japan, on Monday, November 25, 2024, 18:00-20:00 JST, with a Coffee Reception beginning at 17:30 JST, the panel taking place from 18:00-19:00, and a closing Cocktail Reception at 19:00.
