The call is immediately transferred to the first number in a l ist that may feature up to seven contacts selected by the parents at the time of issuing of the card. If this person cannot be reached, the call is redirected to the second number in the list, and so on, until so mebody answers. If none of the contacts can be reached, the request is redirected to Child Focus, a Belgian foundation for child assistance, accessible 24/7, which can be assisted by the national police force if required.
