Position Overview: The Senior Project Manager, Global Privacy, will support the execution of FPF’s global privacy initiatives by coordinating programming across international offices, managing project timelines and event planning, and ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration. The Project Manager will also provide direct support to the VP for Global Privacy and facilitate coordination between FPF’s Global team and FPF’s US, AI and various Operations teams. Experience in the technology policy, NGO, policy advocacy, and/or governmental spaces is highly preferred. Experience with grant management, particularly U.S. federal grants, preferred.
Location: Washington DC; this is a hybrid position, with at least 3 days in office per week. Candidates who are not already based in Washington DC should mention in the application materials their willingness to move to the DC area to be considered.

Salary Band: 85,000 – 105,000 USD (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Executive & Strategic Support
- Assist the VP for Global Privacy with project prioritization, calendar management, and tracking the progress of key initiatives.
- Monitor project deadlines and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Provide administrative and organizational support, including budget tracking and hiring process assistance.
- Keep the VP informed on the status of ongoing projects and flag potential issues proactively.
Program Coordination and Implementation
- Coordinate and monitor the development and execution of FPF’s global work program, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and local office needs, and suggesting improvements to enhance impact and efficiency.
- Assist in tracking and reporting on project progress, stewarding the review process across internal and external FPF teams, as well as with FPF leadership.
- Support the planning and execution of the Global team’s key events across international offices.
- Manage publication timelines across global offices, ensuring coordinated content delivery.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Act as a liaison between various FPF workstreams to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Plan and coordinate social media and publication strategies for Global work products with the FPF Communications team.
- In close collaboration with the FPF Events team, coordinate planning for key Global events.
- As necessary, collaborate with FPF’s Grants lead to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Mobilize and support the development and implementation of ad-hoc FPF Special Projects, such as member-funded projects, timely responses to policy developments, and grant opportunities.
- Together with other FPF Project Managers and Operations staff, develop and implement organization-wide operational improvements.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills – Experience writing and copyediting public-facing material on behalf of executives, leading meetings, and coordinating teams in-person and across digital collaboration platforms.
- Experience Working with International, Hybrid, & Remote Teams – Familiarity with coordinating projects across different time zones, cultural contexts, and areas of expertise.
- Project Management & Organizational Skills, plus a High EQ – A can-do attitude, the ability to manage timelines, coordinate across teams, track project progress, and manage both “up and down.”
- Familiarity with Project Management Software, including Slack, Monday.com / Asana, the Google Suite, and Salesforce.
- Strategic & Executive Support Experience – Capable of assisting a VP with prioritization, reporting, and keeping leadership informed of project statuses.
- Grant & Compliance Awareness – Understanding of grant-related compliance and reporting (preferred but not necessarily required).
- Experience in Relevant Sectors – NGO, policy advocacy, governmental, or technology policy space experience is highly preferred.
