Alyssa Benton is the 2019-2020 Future of Privacy Forum Georgetown Policy Fellow. Prior to joining FPF, Alyssa was a law fellow at a non-profit advocating for human rights and security sector reform in the Middle East. She previously completed several internships related to national security and human rights, including at the Office of the General Counsel of the Department of Defense, the National Security Section at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, and the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor at the Department of Homeland Security.
Alyssa is a 2019 graduate from Georgetown University Law Center, where she participated in the International Women’s Human Rights Clinic, advocating for women’s and children’s equality in Zimbabwe. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she majored in Political Science and minored in French and Italian.
