FPF’s 3rd Annual Privacy Executives Summit

*Access to this event is by special invitation only* October 21-23, 2026 @ 6:00 PM PT

Overview

Please save the date for the Future of Privacy Forum’s 3rd Annual FPF Privacy Executives Summit taking place in Mountain View, California on October 21-23, 2026 at The Ameswell Hotel.

This event will once again offer our Privacy Executives Network (PEN) members an opportunity for closed-door conversations to navigate their top-of-mind issues. The Privacy Executives Summit will be restricted to our senior executive industry members and will operate under the Chatham House Rule.

NEW PRE-WORKSHOP! We’re excited to debut a half-day AI Governance Workshop on the afternoon of October 21. We’ll kick off this complimentary convening with a networking lunch, followed by an interactive workshop. We are delighted to be hosted by Orrick Herrington and Sutcliffe. Additional program details will be shared in the coming weeks.

Because AI governance is a cross-functional discipline that spans legal, privacy, compliance, risk, security, technology, and business teams, we encourage members to invite a colleague who helps oversee or coordinate AI governance efforts within your company—particularly those from non-privacy or non-legal functions.

If you have questions about these events, please reach out to the Lauren Anderson-Williams at [email protected].

About the Event

Privacy Executives Breakout Sessions

Translating Privacy and AI Laws into Vendor Procurement and Contracting, Stacey Gray, FPF Sr. Director for AI, and Anne Bradley, FPF Senior Fellow

Vendor procurement and contracting are where privacy and AI legal requirements get operationalized in practice. This session invites senior executives to compare strategies: how are you translating emerging legal obligations into your vendor due diligence (e.g., streamlining questionnaires and risk assessments)? How are you defining key terms and negotiating contract provisions with vendors, and handling ongoing oversight? We will discuss what is working, where friction persists, and where open questions remain.

Global Data Protection and AI Governance Challenges, Lee Matheson, FPF Deputy Director for Global Policy

New technologies mean new challenges and new compliance obligations. Identifying the overlap between existing data protection processes and newly emerging governance requirements can be a major organizational efficiency. This session invites senior leaders to discuss strategies for leveraging & integrating existing data protection processes for new AI governance obligations – where they meet, where they don’t, and the most effective ways to make use of existing programs when confronted with new governance requirements.

Professional Development and Hiring for an AI Powered-World, Doug Miller, FPF Senior Fellow

The privacy landscape is quickly evolving and as organizations aggressively scale AI, the demand for specialized talent has never been more critical. How do we cultivate resilient talent that adapts quickly and enthusiastically to new technology and techniques? Who and how do we hire for building this new future? Join this interactive session to discuss proven strategies for talent acquisition, personal professional growth, and the future of privacy career development in an AI-driven world.

Privacy Executives Breakout Sessions

Employee Monitoring, Stacey Gray, FPF Sr. Director of AI

Employers today have access to increasing volumes of data from and about their employees that can be used to measure productivity, engagement, and performance, as well as serve as a source of training data for AI systems. We will discuss how you are addressing this issue, including: drawing lines on certain types of employee monitoring, navigating legal requirements, including notice and consent expectations across jurisdictions, and weighing tradeoffs related to enterprise AI systems (such as chatbots) that can be used for secondary inferences.

Global Youth Data Protection, Lee Matheson, FPF Deputy Director for Global Policy

Children and teens’ data processing is an increasingly contentious subject. From age assurance requirements to outright bans on the use of certain technologies and services, the regulatory space for the processing of youth data is increasingly complex. This session offers the opportunity for leaders to discuss the best ways to manage these requirements – data mapping, program development, and risk management.
