Tom Moore is a Senior Managing Director in Protiviti’s Security and Privacy practice, helping companies and boards transform, protect, and respond to data privacy and protection matters. Tom retired as AT&T’s chief privacy officer in 2023, directly responsible for all privacy programs, policies, strategy, and compliance with regulations at the state, national, and international levels.
Tom had a 33-year career at AT&T. His many leadership roles included senior vice president – human resources, vice president of corporate strategy and vice president and CFO of the company’s former advertising division. He also previously worked at Ernst & Young and is an alumnus of Xavier University, where he majored in accounting and played varsity soccer.
In addition to serving on the board of the Future of Privacy Forum. Tom serves on the Executive board and the human resource and finance committees of the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry. He was formerly a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas and the board of the Information Accountability Foundation.
Tom and his wife Nancy have five children and five grandchildren.
